A message from Dr. Hudson

3/25/2020 COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Hudson Orthodontics Families, Friends, and Community,

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well. Currently my family and work team are all doing well and staying healthy as we adjust to having our lives and practice “on hold”. This global pandemic has certainly disrupted our everyday life tremendously. I want to update everyone on the current situation and to let our patients and the community know that we are still here for you and are not going anywhere!

We are under a mandatory work stoppage by executive order of the governor until April 23, 2020.

Governor Northam by executive order has ordered all essential businesses to maintain less than 10 people in attendance through April 23, 2020. In order to remain compliant and to give our medical community priority in procuring the necessary PPE and other medical equipment they need to treat life threatening medical cases, we will remain closed for non-emergent/regular appointments until at least April 23, 2020.

The good news is that Braces and Clear Aligners will still work and advance treatment even if we miss a routine adjustment cycle. You can rest assured that I do not anticipate any risk to our patients or any significant delay in treatment due to this mandated work stoppage. I commit to do everything in my power to keep treatment on track and on time for every patient. Furthermore, Hudson Orthodontics is actively looking to the future and planning to resume our routine orthodontic schedule as soon as possible.

Our Springfield office will remain open for emergencies only. Additionally, all patients are welcome to schedule a virtual exam with Dr. Hudson or one of our clinicians- please call us at 703.451.4666 to schedule. Please be assured that we are here for you for any questions/concerns.  Also, stay in touch by social media at facebook and Instagram as well as looking for additional updates here on our blog.

We are truly grateful for your understanding during these uncertain times. It is our sincerest wish to welcome you again soon in our offices. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Stay healthy, stay safe, and keep smiling.

With warmest regards,
Dr. Brad Hudson

3/18/2020 COVID-19 UPDATE

Like all of you, we have been reviewing the news and information related to COVID-19. As healthcare providers and members of our community, we believe that it is our responsibility to make decisions that help flatten the curve and prevent the spread of the virus.

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily postpone all routine appointments starting March 17th until March 31, 2020 (subject to change). Our Springfield, Fairfax, and Centerville offices will remain open to accomodate URGENT appointments as needed. Rest assured, we are taking extra precautions as per guidance of CDC for patients who must be seen in person.

We did not make this decision lightly, as we understand the tremendous impact it has on the employees and patients that make up our Hudson Orthodontics family.  However, providing you with amazing care and keeping our community safe is our top priority, and we felt these precautions were necessary to accomplish this. We ask that you please be patient with us as our team continues to vigilantly monitor the situation and does their best to get you rescheduled as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we have team members available to answer any questions or advise on emergency situations via phone and email.

Sincerely,
The Hudson Orthodontics Team

3/17/2020 COVID-19 UPDATE

With the recent updates to COVID-19 and the closing of the schools, we have also updated our office policy.

At this time, Hudson Orthodontics plans to stay open; however, certain types of appointment may need to be rescheduled

For patients coming in for appointments, we respectfully ask the following:

-Please do not come in more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment
– Only the patient may come into the office (parents-please wait in the car) for routine scheduled appointments
– New patients may be accompanied by one parent (no other family/friends)
– Once in the office, please sanitize your hands, gargle with Listerine and wash your hands with soap
– If you prefer to wait in your car, please Call or Text us @703-451-4666 when you have arrived and we will notify you when ready

Thank you for your understanding during this time.
